Camp Fundraiser Happy Hour

Thanks to our supporters for making our Happy Hour Fundraiser a success! With your help we raised over $1,000 in funds. This will go a long way in supporting our summer retreat to Lake Placid with 6+ current and past Foresight Fellows (Mentees).

We always appreciate reconnecting with everyone and helping keep the spirit alive. We received lots of great ideas on how we can move The Foresight Project forward. As we prepare for the next cohort of Foresight Fellows, we would like to share that we will be continuing our partnership with the REACH program. Our team is also exploring additional partnerships to broaden our impact and serve more students who can benefit from our curriculum and mentoring.

This is all made possible by your support! If you missed the opportunity to contribute to our fundraising efforts, feel free to check out our Donate page to make a tax-deductible donation. We also welcome anyone interested in donating their time to serve as a Foresight Mentor. You can always reach us at admin@foresightnyc.org.

The Foresight Project
Cohort 3 | Foresight Annual Retreat 2022

The Foresight Project had the pleasure of hosting two Foresight Fellows from this year’s cohort for the first annual retreat. The retreat was held at Camp Monserrate in Lake Placid, NY, a location cherished by many of the Foresight team members and the greater community around Nativity Mission Center. The Reiss Foundation and family was kind enough to host our mentors and Fellows for the weekend.

In addition to providing a reflective period from the Foresight year and in preparation for college, the weekend included fun activities and many firsts including climbing a mountain, canoeing, and roasting s’mores around a campfire.

We invite you to review our full recap here and hope you can join us at our next annual retreat!

The Foresight Project
Cohort 3 | Career Development

On February 12, the group hosted James Gomez and Jared Bowers to hear their reflections on career development during and after college. James is a graduate of Nativity Mission Center (NMC) and is currently Vice President of Internal Audit at JPMorgan Chase. Jared is also an NMC graduate. He is a TFP Board Member Emeritus and currently serves as Talent Acquisition Manager at Withum. Our guest speakers provided a comprehensive overview of their journeys to  their current career paths, which involved networking, pursuing internships, and developing their brand. As a practical first step, both speakers encouraged the Fellows to create LinkedIn pages and start networking.
